Afternoon rest could save your life

I write this rejuvenated, re-vitalized and clear headed. Why? Because I have just had my afternoon power nap.

I feel even more self righteous after reading this report that has the startling statistic that ‘taking regular midday naps for at least 30 minutes reduces risk of cardiac death by 37 percent’. The trick is to snooze hypnotically but not to go into a ‘proper sleep’ session i.e. slow wave sleep which can muck up your circadian sleep cycles.
