Happily treating depression

I’m gearing up for this weekend our sixth module on the uncommon knowledge hypnotherapy diploma We are looking at depression and how to lift it. Psychotherapists have long had depressing views about depression. That it is a ‘disease’ that has to be medicated or that it is painful and difficult to treat. Fortunately for our uncommon students we look at what research tells us when seeking to treat clinical depression.

This weekend we’ll be focussing on brief ways to lift depression and also considering some of the male/female differences we’ll also be looking briefly at antidepressants their uses and limitations and at nutrition and depression. As always we’ll be teaching and practicing hypnotic technique as well as the wider uses of brief solution focussed pyschotherapy. We’ll be demonstrating rapid hynotic inductions, when to use them and how.

That’s all from me for now.
