It seems women are (yes I know GENERALLY) more linguistically innovative than men. This interests me as a male WordStar teaching the ‘language of change’ on the Uncommon knowledge hypnotherapy diploma
I have often wondered where the trend for using a question intonation at the end of a statement (rather than a proper question) originated. I assumed it was antipodean probably Australian and was made popular by North American ‘Valley girl speak’ but I’m not quite right about this according to this Valley Girl Talk article.
