He’s so like so…Valley girl talk

It seems women are (yes I know GENERALLY) more linguistically innovative than men. This interests me as a male WordStar teaching the ‘language of change’ on the Uncommon knowledge hypnotherapy diploma

I have often wondered where the trend for using a question intonation at the end of a statement (rather than a proper question) originated. I assumed it was antipodean probably Australian and was made popular by North American ‘Valley girl speak’ but I’m not quite right about this according to this Valley Girl Talk article.

Ok I’m like sooo whacked I’m off to relax now?

Mark.
