Self focus and sadness may make us spend more

Some clients seen by our students on the uncommon knowledge hypnotherapy diploma course present with ’shopping addiction’.

This article: Even Momentary Sadness Increases Spending looks at research that seems to show when we feel sadder and de-value ourselves we may be prepared to pay up to 300% more for items than we would normally.

So it might be an idea not to watch ‘Titanic’ or ‘Love story’ before you hit the stores.

Happy spending

Mark
